We met up with model and freelance stylist Leon and his dog Daisy, aka D-Unit, aka The Beast, in Glasgow for a walk around town.
VERDIN: COULD YOU SHARE HOW DAISY CAME INTO YOUR LIFE?
Leon: "Myself and my wife Jess have always been around dogs from a young age. And we’d spoken about getting one, but was hesitant with Jess being a nurse and at the time I was working on Savile row. The thought of having to put Daisy in doggy day care every day or leave her at home was never what we wanted to do. Or not being able to train her probably with us both being at work, Covid happened and we spoke about it again. Thankfully my job at the time said Daisy could come to work with me. And as they say the rest was history, we had to pick Daisy from videos but as soon as fumbled her way onto the screen that was it!"
WHAT DO YOU FIND UNIQUE ABOUT DAISY?
Leon: "Haha she has so many but I think what makes me laugh so much is her wee sassy attitude. She loves laying on the couch with me and Jess but once she’s had enough, she’ll pick herself up and head up the bottom of the stairs. She’ll always take one look back as if to say are you not coming, then off she pops up and well normally find her curled up in Jess’s dressing gown."
